“Mental Health Seminar was a Major Success”

It was a wonderful morning last week in the Ballina Arts Centre https://ballinaartscentre.com/  for the Mayo Mental Health Associations (MMHA) mental health Seminar. https://mayomha.ie/

The event showcased a variety of services that are available to the community of Ballina and the surrounding North Mayo areas.

Speakers included MMHA Mental Health Promotion officer Jenna Walsh, Louise Burke on behalf of the Ballina Family Resource Centre https://www.familyresource.ie/details.php?ID=106  and Bealach Nua Family Peer Support Worker Fran MacKeever, who all spoke about the importance of family members nurturing their own resilience when supporting a loved one who may be experiencing a mental health difficulty and the supports they offer in the local area.
