“Mental Health Seminar was a Major Success”

The event showcased a variety of services that are available to the community of Ballina and the surrounding North Mayo areas.
Speakers included MMHA Mental Health Promotion officer Jenna Walsh, Louise Burke on behalf of the Ballina Family Resource Centre https://www.familyresource.ie/details.php?ID=106 and Bealach Nua Family Peer Support Worker Fran MacKeever, who all spoke about the importance of family members nurturing their own resilience when supporting a loved one who may be experiencing a mental health difficulty and the supports they offer in the local area. Special guest Rory O’Connor of Rory’s Stories, talked about his own mental health journey and the importance of looking after your mental health, while giving the audience a few laughs along the way. See more here. https://rorysstories.ie/
